What is Cryptomator?

How does Cryptomator works ?

Client-server encryption: When you copy files to this vault, Cryptomator automatically encrypts those files before uploading them to the online storage service of your choice. Encryption is done client-side, which means your files are encrypted on your computer before being transferred to the remote server. The remote server only sees encrypted data and cannot access the contents of your files.

Individual encryption: Cryptomator encrypts each file and folder individually. This means that even if an attacker manages to decrypt one file, they will still not have access to the contents of other files in the vault.

Secure Access: To access your encrypted files, you must unlock the vault by entering a password. This password is essential for decrypting files. It should only be known to you.

User Interface: Cryptomator provides a friendly user interface that allows you to manage your vaults, view and add files. You can access your encrypted files as you would normal files.

Metadata Protection: In addition to encrypting data, Cryptomator also protects metadata, such as file and folder names. This further enhances the confidentiality of your data.
